COMMANDER OF “COURAGEOUS”

(Received July 31, 1.30 a.m.) LONDON, July 30.

Commander C. W. Woodhouse, a survivor of H.M.S. Courageous, sunk on September 17 last, has died from his injuries. Commander Woodhouse was lying alone in a private ward when the Queen visited the hospital in March last. She tip-toed to his bedside, and spoke a few words of cheer to him.
