The Japanese police, acting simultaneously in several cities, have arrested ten prominent British subjects in Japan. No reason has been given for this action. • Those arrested include Captain C. H. James, of Tokio, a retired naval officer, who is the chief representative of the Federation of British Industries in Japan. Four Kobe residents arrested aic: Mr Holden, who is president of the local British Association; Messrs E. W. James, F. M. Jonas, and J. b • Drummond. Two Osaka business men arrested are Mr H. M. MacNaughton, who is honorary Consul for Greece, and Mr. J Jj*' JaHICS. Two brothers, named Ringer, from Shimonoseki and Nagasaki, have been arrested. Reuter’s News Agency Tokio coiivspondent, Mr. J.
