SECRET SESSION
Again in London
(Received July 26, 7 p.m.) RUGBY, July 26
Following on an announcement that a secret session of the House of Commons would b e held on Tuesday next to debate foreign affairs, objections were raised by members. Answering these, Mr C. Attlee stated that the decision had been taken because a majority of the House seemed to be in favour of such a secret session, so that members might state their case very fully, and that the Government might make the fullest possible reply. Mr Cross (Minister of Economic Warfare) will on the same day make an important statement on Britain’s blockade.
