NELSON LAND BOARD
MONTHLY MEETING. At the July meeting of/the Nelson Land Board there were present Messrs P. R. Wilkinson (Cbmmissioner of Crown Lands) chairman, JO’Regan, F. W. Gibbs, A. Rowling and J. Creighton. Applications land iniluded the following:—Area o'f 100 acres adjoining Sections 11 and 12, Block 111, Steeples S.D. Area 100 acres, applicantD. J. Archer. —Resolved to approve at a rental of £2 per annum. Pt Sections 22 and 24, Block 111, Steeples S.D. Area 500 acres, applicant —J. L. Archer.—Resolved to approve at a rental of £3 10s per annum. Area of 90 acres in Block XVI Mawheraiti S.D., applicant —P. Mitchej]..—Resolved to approve at a rental of £2 per annum. Section 2, Block XVI Maruia S.D. Area 542 acres, applicants—F. R. McWha and H. W. Tibble—Resolved to approve of Mr F. R. McWha’s application at £1 10s per annum. An application covering Part Sections 25, 26, 29 and 30, Block 111, Steeples S.D.. area 80 acres, by S. Craddock to cut mining props for a term of six months from 11/7/40, subject to payment of royalty at State Forest rates was granted. Transfers were granted as follows: Section 5, Block V, Matakitaki S.D., 398 acres, and Section 3, Block 11, Tutaki S.D., 153 acres, from executor s of the will of C Downie, deceased, to Chas. Downie; Section 1093 Westport Colliery Reserve, area 1 rood 1.4 perches, Russell' Weekes (of his interest to Arthur E. Wishart. The lease of Section 19, town of Seddonville, area 34 perches, was declared forfeited. . Renewals of the following Mokihinui liease s were offered: —Section 13, Block XV, area sac 3rds 17pchs, rental of £1 12s per annum; Section 14, Block XV, 5 acres, rental of £1 7s 6d- Section 17 Block XV, 6ac Ird 25 pchs, rental of £1 17s 6d; Section 15, £1 10s; Section 30 Block XV, sac Ords 7pchs, rental of £1 ss; Section 38, Block XV, 5 acres, rental of £1 7s 6d; Section 37, Block XV, 5 acres, rental of £1 2s 6d; Section 31, Block XV, 5 acres 0 roods 10 perches, rental of Block XV, sac Ords 3pchs, rental of £1; Section 58, Block XV, sas Ird 37pchs, rental of £1 5s per annum.
