RANGIORA COMMUNITY CENTRE

Affiliation with the Rangiora Community Centre was decided upon by the annual meeting of the Rangiora Musical Society on Monday evening. The president (Mr. J. E. Strachan), who is principal of the Rangiora High School, explained that when the centre was built at the school, rooms for meetings of the society would be available. Another advantage which would greatly beneut the society would be the use of the music set which was granted to the school recently by the Carnegie Corporation of New York. Members of the Choral Society, which was formed last year for the production of Handel’s “Messiah,” will be invited to attend practices of the musical society. It was stated that there had been a satisfactory financial result from the production.—“The Press.”
