N.Z. Airmen

MR JORDAN’S INSPECTION. LONDON, March 21. Air Chief Marshal Ludlow-Hewitt and the N.Z. High Commissioner, Mi' Jordan, inspected a large number of airmen at a hangar at an East Anglican bomber station including New Zealand officers and’men who recently carried out their first operation—a sweep over the North S'ea —at Marshal Ludlow-Hewitt’s request Mr Jordctn presented the D.F.M. to Corporal Knight. He said: “On behalf of the New Zealand Government and people, I want to say how proud we are of’ the part you played.” After inspecting hangars and aircraft, and climbing into a bomber and seeing a demonstration of gun turrets, Mr Jordan said he was greatly impressed by what he had seen. It was a striking proof of the R.A.F’s. ability to hit back and keep on hitting.
