Kumara Races

ON EASTER MONDAY. Record acceptances have been received by the Kumara Racing Club for its Centennial fixture at the Kumara Racecourse on Easter Monday, and given fine weather, the club should experience one of. the most successful meetings of its history. The committee has left nothing to chance in order to ensure that the meeting will be run on the right lines, and the keeness that is being’ displayed augurs w r ell for the success of the fixture. Elaborate arrangements have been made for the meeting, and the track has undergone a special course of repair, having been properly drained, top-dressed and mown. The buildings have been painted and the whole surroundings present a most pleasant appearance. Luncheon w’ill be obtainable on the course from 11 a.m. The single pool system of betting will operate. Bus and train arrangements have been made from all parts of the West Coast, and buses connect with the train at Kumara Junction, conveying passengers to the course. RANDWICK ACCEPTANCES. (Received March 22 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, March 22. A.J'.Cv St. Leger— Brpnze Flight, Reading, Dashing Cavalier 8.10. For Sydney Cup (to be run on Monday) acceptors are: —Maikai, Royal Chief, Mosaic, Plymouth Hoe, Roundup, St. Constant, Old Rowley, Feminist, Cooranga, Geebung, Elanage Your’s Truly Dashing Cavalier, Own Folk, Gold Spark, The Blizzard, Fountain. Barrier positions in the Autumn Plate include:—Royal Chief number four. In the Doncaster Handicap the barrier positions of the topweights are: El Golea four, High Caste fifteen, Mildura one, Beaulivre eight; Geebung eleven, Gold Salute three, Feminist nine, Denis ten.
