MR. McLAGAN RE-ELECTED PRESIDENT. WELLINGTON, March 21. The election of officers was the main business at the annual conference of the Federation of Labour this morning. Mr. A. McLagan was re-elected president bv 233 votes, the other candidate. T. Stanley, receiving 35. Other officers elected were: VicePresident. E. Eddy: Resident Executive: Messrs Roberts and Walsh; Trustees: Messrs Roberts and A. Black; Delegates to the Inteqpational Labour Office. N. Campbell’ (Auck land). Secretary. Mr. Cornell (reelected. unopposed). Consideration of the report and balance-sheet was concluded, and the conference decided to lend JESOO free of interest to the Government for the duration of the war and six months afterwards. 1
