ST. PATRICK'S SPORTS
TO-DAY AT VICTORIA PARK. Opening with the usual spectacular procession to Victoria Park, through the main streets, the St. Patrick’s Day sports meeting will be held this afternoon. All of the leadin'- West Coast axemen and some visitors of note are competing, and the chopping should prove most exciting. The cycling fields wiP bo among the most classy seen hero for years, while there is going to he excellent competition in the foot-races, jumping, national dancing, and separate events. The promoters have made every provision for an enjoyable da.’ 7 and there is bound to bo a large attendance at the sports.
