Mr G. 11. Watson arrived yes’erday horn Sydney. Mr W. J. Ellis returned yesterday from Wellington. Mrs E. George, Clyde, Conti al Otago,, is visiting Greymouth, and is competing in the West Coast Croquet tournament. Arriving at Westport from Picton on Tuesday, Lady Galway and her three daughters intended to travel to Greymouth on an unofficial visit before meeting the Governor-General (Lord Galway) at Greymouth on Monday, but they were forced to turn back and spend the night at westport because of a slip on the coastal road at Costello’s Hili. At last evening's meeting of the Greymouth Harbour Board, the chairman (Mr W. Clayton) on behalf of Board members, expressed to Mr W. B. Gilbert (secretary) their sympathy in the recent death of Irs brother, Mr Jeremiah Gilbert. A motion of condolence was carried, members standing in silence.
