Correspondence and Telegrams WELLINGTON, February 12. Delegates from the central recruiting committees of all military areas will confer to-morrow with members of the central recruiting committee, to discuss plans and coordinate and intensify a recruiting campaign for the Third Echelon <-.nd reinforcements. The object is form a national recruiting . committee. Members of the Cabinet will give addresses on various aspects of the Dominion’s war effort. The Postmaster-General (the Hon. F. J'jnes), Stated to-day that the Post Office was anxious that letters for soldiers should reach the addressees with as little delay as possible. The words “N.Z.E.F. Overceas” should be included in the address A complete address should include the soldier’s number his ran l : and his unit, followed by “NZE.F. Overseas.” This is an example of a correctly addressed letter for a soldier who has left the Dominion:— “591. Private J. Brown, B Company, 19th. (Wellington) Rifle Battalion, NZ.E.F. Overseas.” Commencing on. Saturday a cheaprate telegram service . was made available to members of His Majesty’s Army or Air Force serving abroad, with the exception that, in the meantime, the service will not be 'available to Canada and Egypt. The rate is 5d a word for text and signature with a minimum charge of 2s 6d. Urgent private matters only will be allowed. The text is to be in plain English, and the signature must contain the surname. Messages are subject to censorship. The address, which will not be charged for, must include the indicator “EFM,” regimental number, rank, addressee’s name, decigiic tion of unit to which attached and the words “British Expeditionary Force, London,” or if the addressee is not with the British Expeditionary Force the name! of the plae° or country of destination. Special classes of telegram and accGssory services, are not permitted.
