The National Assembly unanimously passed a decree giving powers, to the Government for use when war threatens; also compulsory national service for both sexes aged from 18 to fiO. HUNGARY'S IRON GUARD. • BUDAPEST, Januarjr 18. A total of 121 members of the banned Iron Guard have been released from concentration camps. IRAK MINISTER SHOT. . , BAGHDAD, J’anuary 18. A former police inspector entered the office of the Finance. Minister, Rustam Naidar, and shot him with a reyplyer.. .The assailant was arrested. Naidar is in hospital. A bullet entered- his side, and passed through •his .abdomen.. ... His ’condition is grave. His assailant' was dismissed four years ago, owing to bad conduct.
