GANG OF CAR-CONVERTERS. CHRISTCHURCH, J’anuary 18. The-round-up of a gang of four youths, who in a week . converted thirteen cars valued at over £3,009, resulted in- two Gordon Daniel McDonald, aged 17, and Robert Stanley Blight, also- aged 17, appearing in Court, to-day. -The other two will appear in the Juvenile Court on Saturday, r McDonald- and Blight were remanded' till then. - .• ■ >«’’ • The police said that McDonald' carried a bunch of keys -and unlocked the doors of- cars, which were then, driven till they ran out of petrol, and were knocked about. ■ In remanding the accused, the Magistrate (Mr. Hervey) -said he did not propose to treat them as juveniles.
