Jones, New Zealand Minister of Defence, to-day denied the suggestion that there was a mistaken belief in New Zealand that there was a certain aloofness about Australia’s attitude towards New Zealand. The two Dominions, he said, are on the best possible terms. He was sure that not one New Zealander has any complaint to make about Australia’s attitude. In every way, the two countries work with the utmost harmony. CONFERENCE OF DEFENCE MINISTERS ‘Received January 19, 12.5 a.m.) SYDNEY, January 18. Hon. F. Jones spent this morning in conference with the Minister for the Army, Mr Street, on defence and war problems of common interest to New Zealand and Australia. Mr Jones said that the talks had been most valuable.
