N.S.W. COAL STRIKE
Order to Resume GIVEN TO ENGINEERS. SYDNEY, November 8. A conference of delegates from the combined mining unions carried a motion, directing all the engineers who are on strike on the . northern coalfields to return to work immediately, “pending the completion of negotiations.” . .. . r This direction is expected to be confirmed by the Commonwealth Council of Amalgamated Engineering Union, when it meets this week; . , The Union’s conference decided .to request Mr. Menzies to intervene in the dispute over hours, which caused the strike.
