HITLER’S NEW IDEA
Peace with France
(Received October 21, 1.40 a.m.) COPENHAGEN, October 20.
The Berlin correspondent of the “Berlingske Tidende” and the “National Tiddnde” declare that Herr Hitler is planning a new move to divide the Allies. It is predicted that the operations on the Western Front are to be suspended as the preliminary to a separate offer of peace to France, and that, meanwhile, the war against Britain will' be prosecuted with increasing ferocity. NEW YORK, October 19.
In an address at Schnectady, Lord Marley said: “If Herr Hitler attacks the Maginot Line, he is certain to suffer severe losses. These he cannot stand, and eventually he will be forced to ask for peace. If Herr Hitler, on the other hand, does not attack, he will be forced to answer to the German people, to whom he promised victory.”
