The senior knock-out competition

was declared closed and Cobden dedared the winners of the Dr. McBrearty Cup. United thirds were declared winners of ithe knock-out competition. Owing to the lateness of the season, the junior and four grade knock-out competitions were abandoned. It was stated that it was possible for three teams, Te Kinga, Kumara and Cobden to have won the junior competition, but as there were no further Saturdays available, there was no alternative but to abandon the competition. . , . The Greymouth Technical High School was granted permission to

play the annual House match, School Hostel' v. The Rest at Rugby Park on Saturday next at 1.30 p.m. Mr 5. West was appointed referee. The only senior match set down for Saturday next, which wifi complete the season’s activities, at Greymouth, is the McLean trophy match at Rugby Park at 3 p.m., between Cobden and Kiwi (Hokitika). Mr O. T. Grattan has been appointed referee. - . . -4U it was decided to get m touch with the various clubs in order to ensure a successful seven-a-side junior tournament for the Saraty Cup at Kumara on Saturday next. It was decided also to request the Westland Sub-Union and Ross teams to participate. The tournament will commence at 1 p.m. Several members indicated their intention of being present at the tournament and assisting in any way possible.
