WEEK-END MATCHES. In a challenge match for the Jeffrey Buttons, at the Kaiata links at the week-end, the holders R. T. Smith and P. G. Tizard defeated H. Smith and C. H. Plimmer. In a junior men’s championship match, S. J. Davis defeated D. G. McKay. Senior championship matches resulted:—Caulton beat B. Jones by default. H. Jeffery beat Dr. H. S. Ray. Tizard beat C. W. Browne by default. In a Four Horsemen Cup match, R. Stopforth beat S. J. Davis. The third round of the Blackmore Cup was decided at the week-end, the winners being Dixon and Miss Bruhn with a nett score of 76, won in a count back from Chivers and Mrs Robertson.
Chivers and Mrs Robertson lead in the competition with a score of 232. Next in line are E. H. Smith and Miss D. Blair 234, Rhodes and Mrs Dowell 236, Tizard and Mrs Tizard 237. Another round completes the series.
