HAWKE’S BAY COMMITTEE
To Carry on Business FOR MEN CALLED UP. WAIPUKURAU, September 5. At a representative meeting of farmers and businessmen of the central Hawkes Bay, an organisation, to be known as the Central Hawke’s Bay Service Committee, was set up to arrange for the supervision of properties and businesses where the owners are called up for national service. Representations for recognition by the Government will be made through the Member for the district for the Comrhittee, which is believed to be tne first of its nature in the Dominion.
