Hutchinson bent Rhodes. R. T. Smith beat C. Jones. The holders of the Jeffrey Buttons, R. T. Smith’ and P. Tizard, withstood the challenge of B. W. Caul lon and F. F. Bouslridge. In a Four. Ball, host ball bogey match yesterday, the winners wore E. Pattinson and W. D. 'Caylor. An unofficial bogey match yesterday afternoon was won by C. G. McKcchnio, six up. WORLD RECORD FOR TYING. CHRISTCHURCH, August 27. Tn a determined effort to reach a decision in the semi-final of the Foursomes Challenge Cup Competition at j Waitikiri, after tying four times, C. Deyell and J. W. Jackson, and M. R. I Blank and C.
