RUNANGA NOTES

lOur Own Correspondent] A. social and dance was held in the Druid’s Hall, Runanga, last evening in order to raise funds for the Presbyterian Church. There was an attendance of about 130. Dancing was the order of the evening and song, were rendered by Mrs A. Shackley, Mrs Abbott and Mr A. Airns. A lucky spot one-step was won by Miss Driscoll and Mr A. Rose and Mrs Airns and Mrs Robertson won the Monte Carlo waltz. Supper was served by the Ladies’ Committee. The music was provided by Mrs J. Hewison (piano) and Mr W. Airns (drums) while Mr N. Speakman was M.C. Rev. I. A. Robertson thanked tnose present for their wonderful patronage and also the various visitors who gave items. He also thanked the ladies for their wonderful co-operation n.nd for the splendid supper provided. Mr Robertson also presented the winners with their various prizes. The evening concluded W “Auld Lang Syne.”
