[Our Own Correspondent] Mr W. Martyn, who is at present a patient at the Westland Hospital, is much improved. Mr C. Ferguson, of Nelson, is on a visit to this district. Mrs H. Haddock was a visitor to Reefton for the races. The weather during the past few days has taken a colder form in the early hours, frosts being in evidence. The ranges are still free from snow. The local gun club had a trial shoot on Sunday, when a good number of members turned out. Anzac Day was observed here at the Cemetery in the customary manner, wreaths being placed on the various plots, while the occasional 'speaker \in the afternoon was the Rev. Mr Harper. There was a good attendance from this district on Saturday at the Wataroa Sports, which proved very enjoyable. Next Saturday the Harihari sports take place, and if the weather is favourable there should be a record attendance. All the nominations, are excellent, including axemen from all parts of the West Coast. In. the evening a grand ball will be held, and there will be a first-class orchestra in attendance.
