CENTRAL EXECUTIVE ELECTION. WELLINGTON, April 26. Mr J. A. Lee, M.P., nas been elected to a seat on the Central' Executive of the New Zealand Labour Party. The National Secretary of the Party (Hon. Mr Wilson, M.L.C.), announced this evening that the election, held at the recent annual conference of the Party had resulted in the re-election of last year’s Centrd?"Executive, with the one exception that Mr P. M. Butler had not accepted nomination, and Mr Lee had been elected to the vacant position. There were forty-live candidates for the five seats, and the voting in some instances was very close. The elected members are: Hon. T. Brindle, M.L.C., Mr J. A. Lee, M.P., Mrs K. Semple, Mr P. Dowse, and Mr R. Eddy.
