WELLINGTON, March 29.

Promotions among Magistrate’s and Supreme Court officers caused by recent retirements were announced by Mr. T. Mark, Public Service Commissioner, to-day:— Mr. G. S. Clark, Registrar of the Supreme Court, Hamilton, has been appointed Registrar of the Supreme Court, Wellington, in place of Mr. W. W. Samson, who is retiring at the end of this month. x Mr. E. G. Rhodes. Deputy-Registrar of the Supreme Court, Wellington, is to be Registrar of the Supreme Court, Gisborne. Mr. P. D. Leahy, Deputy-Registrar of the Supreme Court, Christchurch is to be Deputy-Registrar of the Supreme Court, Wellington.

Mr. A. E. Reynolds, clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington, is to be second clerk and Deputy-Registrar of the Supreme Court, Palmerston NorthMr. A. L. Tresidder, Registrar of the Supreme Court, Nelson, will become clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Wellington. Mr. A. J. Bennetts, second clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Christchurch, will be Registrar of the Supreme Court, Blenheim. Mr. W. Parker, Registrar of the Supreme Court, Westport, is to be Registrar of the Supreme Court, Nelson, and Mr. C. 10. Jerred, deputy-clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Auckland, is to be clerk of the Magistrate’s Court, Auckland. Mr. T. P. Pain, DeputyRegistrar of the Supreme Court, Dunedin, to be Registrar of the Supreme Court, Whangarei. Mr. W. J.
