NAZI REQUEST FOR CO-OPERATION.

Baron Von Neurath, in an article in the “European Review,” describing his task as protector of Bohemia and Moravia, claims to understand the feeling of the Czech people, after their fresh scars. He expresses the opinion that they realise they have been unscrupulously misused by the Powers, who are not interested in seeing friendly Czecho-German relations. He appeals for co-operation in his efforts to promote a happier future. Dr. Hacha, in an article, expresses his faith in the Fuehrer’s promise of “a happy future for the Czech people if they behave loyally.” PRAGUE, March 29.
The Committee of National Community has ruled that only males over 21 are eligible for political organisations. This does not apply to members of the ex-German minority. The committee will shortly introduce “German labour duty,” whereby every citizen will be required to give the State a specified amount of labour without pay. COPENHAGEN, March 29. Fourteen prominent Czechs, including directors of the Skoda works, flew to° London this morning from Warsaw, in a special Danish plane. A second batch will leave to-morrow.

A message from Geneva stated that the executive of the World Jewish Congress has sent a telegram to Mr Roosevelt, and the Foreign Ministers of Britain, France, and Russia, drawing attention to the “unspeakable martyrdom which the Jews in Czechoslovakia have been suffering since the German occupation, thus violating international treaties guaranteeing equality of rights for all Czech citizens.”
FRENCH COLONIAL FORCE. BEING INCREASED. I Aus & N.Z. Cajole Assn.l (Received March 30, 7 p.m.) PARIS, March 30. M. Mandel announced that France’s colonial army’s strength was doubled last year. The Government’s policy was to make the colonies self-protect-ing. Indo China, which was given extra 'planes, was constructing a factory to manufacture IbO ’planes and four hundred aeroplane engines annually.
