THE WEATHER
[Per Press Association] WELLINGTON, March 13. The weather report states: An anticyclone covers New Zealand, centred to the east. A depression is located over Western Tasman Sea, but appears to be losing intensity. Forecast: Winds light to moderate, but freshening, north-east to north-west south-westerly. A change is possible to-morrow in the southern part of the South Island. Seas (in New Zealand waters), slight to moderate; later rising somewhat in Cook Strait. Eastern Tasman Sea: Light to moderate but freshening north-east to northwest winds; changing southerlies later in the southern portion; seas slight to moderate, but rising in the western areas. Weather fair to fine generally at first, with rising temperatures. Scattered rains are developing to-morrow in the western and southern portions of the South Island.
