REEFTON NOTES

[Our Own Correspondent] REEFTON, March 13. Messrs J. McGregor and T. C. Dellaca left for Westport to-day as delegates to the Oddfellows’ Conference, and Mr J. B. Auld left last evning. Mr R. Hunter, of Nelson, was in Reefton at the week-end, in connection with the A.O.F. Lodge, as was Mr A. J. Chettle, of Christchurch, formerly of Reefton. Mr E. Dollimore (Christchurch) is on a visit to Reefton, and is the guest of Mr F. Wright. Mr Dollimore was for some years in the Reefton P. and T. Office. Among Westport bowlers in Reef-

ton yesterday, were Mr Jack Craig, a native of Reefton, and Mr S. Jenkins, surgeon dentist, who some years ago was a regular visitor to the district. The Westport Club sent four rinks, Reefton defeating them by 84 to 80. The details are .as follows (Reefton players mentioned first):— Fennell, Robertson, Clark and Auld (s) 31 v. Jenkins, McDougall, Comerford and Sara 15; Wright, Hinton, McMillan and More 30, v. Erskine, Ollenshaw, J. Craig and Cox 13; Wright, Dellaca, Wills and Buist 10, v. Jas Craig, Fox, Williams, T. Brown 35; Collis, Noble, Bain and Cleaver 13, v. McKenzie, McMillan, Hart and Head 19. A game for the “Buttons” was played, Wright and Buist v. Fennell and Willis, over 13 heads, and resulted in a win for the firstnamed.
