(Christchurch) by the Council nf. the New Zealand Amateur Athletic Association, last night, to -compete in New South Wales in February, at the invitation of the New South Wales Amateur Athletic Association, subject to his obtaining leave, and Jo the consent of the Canterbury Centre. Boot broke the Empire Games halfmile record in Svdnev. last February.
