PRICES BETTER. [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received December 5, 11.5 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 5. The wool sales were resumed today under strong competition from the Continent and Yorkshire, and much improved buying by Japan. Prices were very firm, with excellent clearances. A record price was secured for fleece and lambs’ wool, which made 23id. Out of 11,178 bales' offered, 10,230 were sold at auction; also 1,554 bales were disposed of privately.
