WEDDING
INNES—BROWN. The wedding took place at St. Paul’s Methodist Church, on Wednesday afternoon, of Eileen, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs C. M. Brown of Greymouth, and Donald Denzil, second son of Mr and Mrs R. D. Innes of Springfield. The ceremony was performed by Rev. H. R. Fell, Miss M. Coburn presided at the organ. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a gown of magnolia satin cut on Empire lines with Elizabethan collar, and skirt falling in graceful lines- to form a fan shaped train. Her veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom. An armlet of cream roses and lilies completed her toilette. On leaving the church she was presented with a lucky horseshoe by Master Innes.
In attendance were the bride’s sister, Miss Alice Brown, chief bridesmaid, and Mrs G. Brown, sister-in-law of the bride, as matron of honour, both wearing frocks of gold satin serge, made on similar lines to that of the bride. Halos of gold pleated net and mauve flowers were worn, and they carried armlets of gold roses, irises and maiden-hair fern. Mr R. Innes, brother of the bridegroom, was best man, and Mr L. Coburn was groomsman.
The reception was held at Harker’s where the bride’s mother received the guests. Mrs Brown wore a navy blue ensemble with hat and shoes to tone artd - a shoulder spray of crimson roses. ' Mrs R. D. Innes wore a frock of Lido blue, under a Musquash fur coat and shoulder spray of pink roses. When the bride and bridegroom left for a motor tour of the South Island, the bride travelled in a navy blue costume with navy accessories to tone.
