Sydney Scenes COMMUNISTS’ OPPOSITION. (Received December 2, 11.20 p.m.) SYDNEY, December 2. The Federal Government held the ( opening of its recruiting rally in Martin Place during the City lunch hour to-day. The opening was marked by hnary scenes, in which leading Communists figured, whilst they were distributing their own handbills, ine majority of the crowd regarded the handbills as offensive. Heated arguments occurred, and Communist speakers were -howled down. The police were compelled to disperse noisy groups.
