VALEDICTORY

MR C. S. NEVILLE. Mr C. S. Neville has retired on superannuation from the position of Inspector of Stock at Greymouth. He was farewelled by officers of the Department of Agriculture on Wednesday- r> Among those present were Mr. D. Blair, District Superintendent, Christchurch, and Mr B. Grant, Principal Inspector for Canterbury and- Westland. . In making a presentation of a tistiing reel Mr Blair referred to Mr Nellie’s long gnd faithful service to the Department, and wished him health and happiness in his retirement. Mr Blair also made a presentation of a walking rest stick to Mrs Neville, expressing appreciation of the sacrifices that she had made as the wife of a travelling inspector. The other officers present joined in expressing regret at Mr Neville’s departure from the service and in extending best wishes for the future. In reply, Mr Neville related some of his experiences in the service of the Department, and thanked the officers for the presentations and good wishes.
