I More of the country’s young are I turning to criminal paths. 1 The greatest increase in indictable ■ offences is in the age group between 10 and 14 years. ; The proportion of boys between'. 10 and 14 convicted of crimes has nearly- doubled in seven years. Want and recklessness, bred by ( years of economic uncertainty are chiefly blamed for this painful con-| fession, which has come from the Home Office. J Another fact revealed is that outof every,live convicted criminals four! are male and one female. I Violence is lessening, but drunkenness and prostitution are increasing. Prostitut ion has almost trebled I since 1931.
