N.S.W. MINISTER

Dies in Office MR. J. M. DUNNINGHAM'S ENO. [Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] (Received May 26, 5.25 p.m.i SYDNEY, May 26. Mr J. M. Dunningham, Minister of Labour and Industry in the Stale Cabinet, collapsed in his oflice to-day and died within an hour from a heart attack. He was aged 1 54 years.

The Premier (Mr 13. S. Stevens) and his Ministerial colleagues received a great shock as Mr Dunningham was the most popular member of the New South Wales Cabinet.

He had Ministerial charge of the recent anniversary celebrations, resulting in overwork and minor heart seizures. He was warned by doctors to take a rest, but Mr Dunningham always replied, “I must see it through.”

Government offices were closed this afternoon, and a State funeral has been ordered.
