CYCLING

TO-DAY'S ROAD RACE. Large entries have been received for the Greymouth Cycling Club's road race to Hokitika to be held this afternoon. All the most prominent West Coast cyclists, including J. Archer, who gained first and fastest time in the Blackball race, J. Duffy, D, Morland, M. Malone, R. Mclntyre, Clarke and Sheldon will be riding. L. G. Savage, R. Williams and M. Jones have been back markers in Canter, bury road races, while J. Rhodes, E. Olsen and K. Hewlett, the Hokitika representatives, are expected to be well up at the finish. In addition to the cash prizes, the winner will receive two cups, one donated by Mr S. McAra, and the other by Mr D. Withers. Fastest time will carry the West Coast 25 Mile Championship blue rib? bon.
