NURSES’ RE-UNION

GREYMOUTH GATHERING. A pleasant evening was spent at a re-union of nurses in the Nurses’ Home at the Grey Hospital on Wednesday evening. The Matron (Miss N. Moffat) was hostess for the oc. asion, and there were visiting nurses from all parts of the district. Items were rendered by Misses P. Pinion (humorous recitation), and V. Daly and C. Frost (songs), whilst the gathering combined in community singing.

Miss Gillespie (Hokitika) gave a very interesting talk on the life of Florence Nightingale, particularly with regard to her influence on modern nursing, and the lessons that could be learned from her life of devotion to her chosen profession.- Supper was served, and an enjoyable evening was brought to a close.
