The Canberra correspondent of the “Sun” reports that l&ijor-Gen-eral Ernest Ker Squires, Director of Staff Duties at the War Office, Lon[don, since 1936, has been selected by [the Commonwealth Government for i the appointment as Inspector-General of the Australian Military Forces. The Federal Government is now awaiting advice as to whether the British Government can spare him for two years for the reorganisation of the Australian Forces.
