GOVERNMENT ATTITUDE. MR LEE MARTIN’S STATEMENT (Received May' 16, 10. p.m. MELBOURNE, May 16. “New Zealand’s Labour Government does not fear the elections,” said Hon. Mr Lee Martin to-day. Neither did it fear any breakdown in its price guarantee system in <* period of depressed export prices. The New Zealand Government, he said, would go to the electors in November next confidently, claiming the credit for the improved economic conditions in the Dominion. Mr Lee Martin said: The great majority of the New Zealand dairy farmers declare against a return to the rafferty’s rules existing before the present system. Perhaps all had not completely been satisfied, but they realised that they' had been given stability.
