Mr Lee Martin, accompanied by Dr. Cockayne, reached Melbourne to-day from 'Canberra, after attending the Agricultural Conference. He suggested a regular system of exchange o! field officers of the Australian and New Zealand Departments. One of four men stabbed in two different affrays will probably die. Pour other men were shot in two underworld feuds. One man was battered by a thug, and there were a number of smash and grab raids in the city. Police wireless cars and cycles experienced a very busy time. Two constables were injured, one critically, when a motor cycle crashed into a brick wall during a chase.
