[Our Own Correspondent.] Mr. E. Rostern, of H.M.S. Achilles, is visiting his mother, Mrs. E. Rostern, Taylorville. Mr. G. Stitt, Chairman of Directors of Brunner Collieries, Ltd., is on a visit to the district. Masters M. Vance and K. Skilton, of Christchurch, are spending a holiday in Taylorville. Mr. H. Smith, Senr., who has been visiting his daughter, Mrs. W. Gutberlet, Taylorville, has' re-entered ti e Grey Hospital for treatment. Mrs. J. Pender, of Taylorville, has left on a visit to Oxford, Canterbury

The successful players at the euchre tournament held in Taylorville School on Monday evening, were Mrs P. Moore Ist. and Mr. C. Bateman 2nd.

A shop day will be held in Taylorville on Saturday in aid of the funds of St. Saviour’s Church, Wallsend.
