EX-PREMIER’S FUNERAL

ROUMANIAN NAZI TRIBUTES.

[Aust. & N.Z. Cable Assn.l (Received Mav 12, 10 p.m.) BUCHAREST, May 12.

The body of the deceased ex-Prime Minister of Roumania, M. Goga, lay in state here at the Athenaeum, in an open coffin, covered with glass. There was a large gold swastika fastened to the lapels of the frocTc coat of the deceased.

Amongst those ’ who escorted M. Goga’s coffin to the Athenaeum were Herr Schickedanz, the former German Secretary of State, representing Marshal Goering, also a Fascist Roumanian officer, General Atonescu. The Italian Consul placed a wreath on the coffin on behalf of Signor Mussolini.
