NATIONAL SPORTS COUNCIL. WELLINGTON, May 12. The first meeting of the National Council appointed under the Physical Welfare and Recreation Act, will be held in Parliament House on May 24. Hon. W. Parry to-day said that one of the first undertakings would be a thorough survey of the existing facilities for sport and ' recreation, and the needed requirements. He felt that with the spirit and keenness permeating the Council’s personnel, there would not be any delay in reaching that stage of their functions.
