FORBURY T.C. OPENS Handicap to Morello NATIVE HUON WINS. [Per Press Association.] DUNEDIN, May 12. The first clay of the Forbury trots was held in beautiful weather. The track was in splendid order, and a large attendance was treated to some excellent racing. The tote handled £16,121, compared with £14,943 10s .on corresponding day of 1936, and £26,636 on the corresponding day last year, which was Coronation Day. At a meeting of the Greymouth District Committee there were present: Messrs T. E. Coates (chairman) C. L. Kettle, A. Beban, W. H. Partnt, and W. Greennill. McCauley for one month for careless riding in the Farewell Handicap at their meeting on April 30. The club’s action was approved. D. McCauley wrote asking that the suspension inflicted on J. McCaulej by the Reefton Club be not approved. No action was taken. The Greymouth Jockey Club’s programme for the winter meeting on lune 18 was approved. GREYMOUTH J.C. PROGRAMME. The programme arranged by the Greymouth Jockey Club for its winuer meeting on Saturday, June 10, 1938, has been approved by the Grey--nouth District Committee.
