ARGO. The Argo dredge return was 79 oz for 89 hours, and 10,000 yards. WORKSOP. The Worksop Extended Gold Dredging Co., Ltd., reports that a full week’s dredging has not been possible on account. of the Anzac Day stoppage, and delays over pump. Consequently, no wash-up has been made. BIG RIVER MINES. Report for week ending April 28:—No. 5 level: North stope—Filling in progress. South stope: Pass not yet recovered. Centre stope: Completed stope, and filling with material obtained from prospecting above No. 4 level. Two inches of stone showing in face. North drive: Commenced driving this level to pick up extension of north block. Shaft: Completed sinking, and partial timbering of seven feet. Total 113 feet. Battery: 47 tons of stone was sent to the battery. LONDON, April 29. Gold 139 s 6ld; dollar 498:1; franc 161 5-6.
