LEAGUE FOOTBALL
GREY VALLEY CLUB. The annual meeting of the Grey Valley League Club was heid in the Ikamatua Hall last evening, when there was a good attendance. Mr. A. Topp was unanimously elected as President of the Club, and in returning thanks said that he would always do his utmost in the interests of the Rugby League Code. Mr. H Steel was re-elected as Secretary' Treasurer and a good working committee was also appointed. Messrs Topp and Steel were elected as delegates to the Inangahua Rugby League and Mr. I. E. Scott as the official referee and representative on the Referees’ Association.
Mr. T. F. McKenzie (Secretary of the Inangahua League), addressed the meeting, giving details of the conference recently held at Auckland and also outlined the programme for the coming season. The free insurance was explained to several new mom bers and also questions regarding current affairs were answered. Mr. C. H. Goodman (President of the Canterbury Rugby League), who was also present, spoke on the code and pointed out that the code was progressing very well and in Canterbury they had the material for further progress.
T7ie meeting passed a hearty vole of thanks to the speakers, the motion being carried by acclamation. It was unanimously decided to enter a senior team in the competition.
