RUGBY FOOTBALL

INANGAHUA SUB-UNION. The annual general meeting of the Inangahua Rugby Sub Union was one of the largest and most enthusiastic meetings held in the district for some years past. Delegates were present . from Ikamatua and Waiuta, and a number of apologies were received. The delegates from the various Clubs gave glowing accounts of the interest that is being taken in the revival of Rugby football in the Inangahua district. The Management Committee for the current season, was elected as follows:— Patron: Mr. W. Power. President: Mr. F. Keating. Vice Presidents: Messrs W. Archer, I A. Shaw, A. Miller, F. Wright. Secretary: Mr. T. Crompton. Treasurer: Mr. W. Archer. Auditor: Mr. L. R. Austin. The delegates from the various

Clubs were as follows: Waiuta, Messrs Dick Davis and Lyons; Ikamatua. Messrs Archer and Harrison; Waratah, Messrs Crossman and Collins’ Star, Messrs Robertson and Palmer' Cronadun, Messrs Barnett and Millar: School, Messrs Hayes and Watson. A hearty vote of thanks was accorded the following who made donations: Messrs R. Davies, C? Potter, T Bennett, R. McLean, J. Reiha, C. Willis, J. Green, F. Lynch, J. O’Malley and 'W. Smith. It was decided that management committee meetings be held on Saturday evenings.
