At the wool sales the market, under good competition from Yorkshire, the Continent and Japan, ruled fullv firm at late rates for all descriptions, and satisfactory clearances were made.
Greasy Merino fleece brought to twenty-four pence. The offering was of 9,884 bales, of which 9,070 were auctioned, and 479 sold privately.
