CYCLING

LAST MEETING OF SEASON. A heavy track at Victoria Park last evening and a strong wind in the straight, made conditions difficult for competitors at the Grey Cycling Club’s concluding meeting of the season. Keen contests were the order, and some close finishes were witnessed. \ The Senior Cup resulted in a win for D. A. Morland with 27i points, P. Duffy being second with 24J points, and A. Bennett third with 20i points. The Junior Cup was won easily by F. Shrives, who secured 27 points. K. Fisher was second with 14 points.

Results of last evening’s races were:—

Quarter Mile —Junior: C. Furness 1, R. Pascoe 2, K. Fisher 3. Won easily. Time 35 2-5 secs. Nine competed. Junior Mile:—C. Furness 1, J. Lamont 2, F. Shrives 3. Won comfortably. Time 2.32 4-5. Nine competed. Senior Quarter Mile: —A. Bennett 1, R. Mclntyre 2, D. Morland 3. Won by two lengths. Time 33 secs. Eight competed. Senior Mile:—M. Sheldon 1, R. McIntyre 2, A. Bennett 3. Won by a length. Ti'#e 2.17. Eight competed.

Continental Race:—D. A. Morland 12 points (possible) 1, P. Duffy 4 pts. 2, M. Malone 3 pts., 3.
