DISAPPEARS IN ROUMANIAN CAPITAL. ,i ' ■ [Aus. & N.Z. Cable Assn.] BUCHAREST, February 8. - A sinister atmosphere begins to surround the disappearance of Theodore Butenko, the Secretary of the Soviet Legation at Bucharest, who was sebn last seen entering a flat building on the night of February 6. by the chauffeur who drove him from the Legation. Butenko did not reach his flat, which is on the second floor. The police found blood on the marble staircase. It is believed that Butenko was either murdered or kidnapped. . SOVIET CHARGE. BUTENKO MURDERED. (Received February 9, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, February 9. Speaking by telephone, from Bucharest, a high Soviet official, told the “Daily Herald” that there was no doubt that Butenko had been murdered. He declared: “We have information that Germans organised the affair, which Rumanian Fascists carried out, for the purpose bf creating a difficult Russian-Rumanian situation. . - -----
