ACCIDENTS
SERVICE CAR Di*ops Over 40 Feet Bank TWO INJURED. [Per Press Association.] WHANGAREI, February 9. One man was seriously injured,, and a boy was hurt, when the PaparoaWhangarei service car left the road, and rolled down a 40-foot bank. The accident occurred on a narrow stretch of road, following an impact with, another car. Those injured are: Charles Mills, middle-aged, address yet unknown, head and internal injuries. E. Levalliant, aged abo\it 14, of Moeware bruises and shock. Q. Shpebridge, the driver of the service car, injuries to the left arm. In addition, there.was another adult in the car, and five clfldren, all escaping injury. Mills, who was sitting in the front seat, was ap parently thrown out. He was conscious when a doctor arrived, but the task of carrying him up the bank to the road was difficult, and eight men were required to get him to the ambulance. He was taken to Whangarei Hospital.
Victim’s Identity
AUCKLAND CHAIRMAN OF NATIONAL PARTY. WHANGAREI, February 9. The latest information is that the injured man is George Mills, of 83, Glenfield Road, Birkenhead. He is the chairman of the Auckland- Division of the National Party. The hospital reports his condition as satisfactory. -
